Arctic Monkeys'

“Cookie does either the spacey, watery, roomy sounds,” says Ford, “which were vibrato and reverb and a bit of echo. Or he does the kind of heavy, single‑note type of stuff. We used the Audio Kitchen for his heavier stuff it had a Vox AC30 sort of vibe, but with a bit more presence and clarity. His live take would be close‑miked, and then we’d bring the amp into the room and maybe double it with a distant mic, Jimi Hendrix‑style, from the other side of the room.”  James Ford

“Chris really likes Vox AC30s, though he used a Marshall now and then.
We tried this brand‑new amp by this small boutique company Audio Kitchen and it sounded great  Chris used it on a couple of songs and Dave used it on three or four songs. It’s just got a really cool tone. You don’t necessarily have to turn it up loud to get a saturated sound on it. All the controls are very interactive between the tone and the boost and the bottom end. The guy who makes it sent us two one was called the Big Chopper and the other was called the Little Chopper, but both great amps.” Butch Vig

Interview with Jez Williams - Doves July 2009
"I purchased some new amps that I'm really happy with and they're really amazing,"Jez reveals. "One's the Audio Kitchen Little Chopper. It ain't cheap, but it has blown my mind: the best amp I've ever used, just incredible for top-end. It sounds strange to say, but the top-end is really warm. I've never heard anything that sounds so musical. The distortion in it is incredible.
It's only seven watts and you can make it sound like a stack of Marshalls if you want, or a really garagey, spiky sort of sound."

Audio Kitchen Little Chopper
Here's a link to the online (edited) version of the review that Mick Taylor gave of the Little Chopper in the Sepetember 08 issue of Guitarist magazine.

Audio Kitchen is a new UK brand that has legions of high-end amp fanciers getting dangerously excitable. They’re designed by Mutronics electrics whizz Steve Crow, and the 7W Little Chopper (head £1000, cab £310) with clever Stack and Power knobs has found its way into the armoury of AC/DC, Coldplay and Athlete. Not loud enough? The upcoming Chopper 15/30 definitely will be. See www.audiokitchen.co.uk for more.

GJD at The Shows: The London Guitar Show
Audio Kitchen chose ExCel to launch their new range of British made, high-end valve amps, including the Little Chopper 7 watt head, covered in the same material as soft-top Jaguar cars, or if lumbers your game, choose from a vast list of exotic tone woods for amp and cab construction, complete with solid silver controls.
